MASH child protection agency misses targets

The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) in Oxfordshire, set up after seven men were convicted of abusing six girls, has missed referral response targets. Only 42% of enquiries were dealt with on time, on average, and a number of institutions who referred cases to MASH did not receive an update on outcomes. A review into MASH is underway.
