75% rise in child cruelty in last 10 years

NSPCC has revealed that child cruelty offences in England are now at their highest for a decade. Child cruelty and neglect cases recorded by police have risen by 75% between 2005/06 and 2014/15. Their report, How safe are our children 2016, compiles and analyses child protection data across the UK for 2016.
