The Social Care Institute for Excellent (SCIE) has been commissioned by the Department of Health to manage a project to improve the experiences of looked after children and young people, care leavers and children adopted from care with mental health and well-being difficulties. The project started in May 2016 and this spring two stakeholder events are being held for frontline practitioners, foster carers and professionals – to allow them to comment on the recommendations developed by the expert group.
