Children’s Minister launches £20 million scheme to encourage closer working between children’s services

Robert Goodwill, Minister for Children and Families, has announced that £20 million will provided in the form of a new programme to help councils work together to improve the lives of vulnerable children. The programme includes peer support for local authorities through the ‘Partners in Practice’ programme, and testing ‘Regional Improvement Alliances’, where neighbouring local authorities challenge each other standards, agree local improvement priorities and share best practice.
