The new Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel has published practice guidance, which provides information on what the panel does, how it works and its practice principles. It sets out the panel’s role in identifying and overseeing the review of serious child safeguarding cases which raise issues of complex or national importance.
The guidance also explains when and how safeguarding partners should carry out rapid reviews. It also introduces the panel members and explains its important challenge function which it exercises with local safeguarding partners and with government.
