Enhanced DBS checks for governors

Government amended legislation has been published that makes enhanced DBS checks mandatory for governors in maintained schools. The new rules come into for on 18 March 2016. It means that all governors, in any kind of school (maintained, independent, academy or free school), must have an enhanced DBS certificate.
