Two-thirds of children groomed online were then sexually exploited

New Barnardo’s research has found that nearly two-thirds of children groomed online who were referred to Barnardo’s specialist services were sexually exploited after meeting their attacker. Half of those children groomed online were exploited by more than one person. Some of the children involved were as young as ten. Of the 297 children supported by the charity who were groomed online, 61% were physically sexually assaulted by their groomer.
