Revised statutory guidance on inter-agency working to safeguard children has been published by the Government. The revised Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance sets out new legal requirements for the three safeguarding partners: senior police, council and health leaders. The guidance is released following public consultation on proposed changes, which received over 700 responses. 17 areas of the country have been announced as ‘early adopters’ and will work with the National Children’s Bureau to implement the new local safeguarding arrangements before they are established across the country.
