Failings found in Wigan child abuse case

A SCR into two children from Preston who suffered years of sexual and physical abuse has found numerous failings in how the victims were treated by Wigan Council and Greater Manchester Police. The children were victims of sexual, physical and emotional abuse in the family home over a number of year. The SCR found that the victims were not always being heard and their accounts of abuse not always believed.
